Social Activities

Welcome Reception

Thursday, 1800–1930: After the completion of the wet labs and didactic courses on Thursday, we invite you to participate in the welcome reception where we can congratulate the recent graduates of the Light for Sight Associate Association Program (ACP) and socialize with friends and colleagues.

Advance reservations are required. If you have not already confirmed your participation, please do so before November 25th using the link.

Poster, Wine and Cheese

Friday, 1745–1900: Spend some quality time with the poster presentations, their presenters in a relaxed and unrushed environment. Relax, and have an unrushed dialogue with your colleagues, in a comfortable environment with Swiss-quality cheese… and Swiss-quality wine!

Congress Banquet Dinner

Friday 1900–2200: It’s the social event of the year: the expertly catered CXL Experts’ Meeting Congress Banquet Dinner. Sample the best of Swiss cuisine and enjoy a relaxed – and this year, expertly entertained – dinner. Take the opportunity to have fun, network, sample some great food and drink, and prepare to have a good time. En guete! Advance reservations are required.

Saturday Evening: Fondue Farewell Feast

Saturday 1830–late: The Swiss love to eat cheese. Simply put, they are cheese connoisseurs, and the Mövenpick Hotel Restaurant is a popular place for locals to come for their fondue and raclette. But on Saturday evening on December 7th, they are out of luck – the Alpine-themed restaurant is reserved for conference delegates, ready to experience the “Peak Swiss” dining experience! Advance reservations are required and limited seating is available.
