Information for Presenters

International Keratoconus and CXL (KCXL) Experts’ Meeting

December 12–14, 2024

 

The meeting will be held in person, on-site at the Kongresshaus, Zürich, with sessions that include speakers’ lectures followed by a live panel (discussion and Q&A session). To have everything set beforehand and to help the speakers with lecture recording, here is some important information regarding the schedule and recording process.

Speaker’s Schedule

● Congress dates: December 12–14, 2024

*Note: Speakers are advised to stay within this timeframe because of the congress’ schedule.

● Deadline to submit the lecture: December 1, 2024

● Lecture format: Microsoft PowerPoint or Apple Keynote at full HD resolution (1920×1080)

*Note: You will receive a link to the folder where you should upload the presentation file. If video and audio are embedded in the presentations, please check the quality before submitting. Make sure the video is playing smoothly, the audio is clear and the slides are readable. 

PowerPoint Presentations

General tips:

● Use 16:9 as slide size (see instructions with screenshots below).

Simplify your presentation: avoid using too much text on one slide to make sure it can be read even by someone with a poor connection.

● Please check your presentation to verify that any video and audio plays smoothly and clearly and that the slides are readable.

 

Step 1: Choosing the correct slide size

Design tab > Slide size > Widescreen (16:9)

 

Poster Presentations

  • The entire day is dedicated to your poster presentation – please check the program to see which day your poster is being presented.
  • Coffee breaks and lunches are scheduled to attract attendees to the poster sessions.
  • We strongly recommend being at your poster during these times to engage with attendees, answer questions, and discuss your research.


General tips:

  • Poster Requirement: Bring your printed hard copy poster to the congress.
  • Poster Board Specifications: A standard double-sided poster board will be used to pin posters. The dimensions of the poster board are 65 cm wide by 95 cm tall.
  • Poster Set Up Time/Date: Please set up your poster no later than 10:30 am on the day of your presentation. Check-in at the registration desk for information on how to mount your poster.
  • Poster Number: Each poster board will be double-sided and allocated a number, which corresponds to your poster. Find your poster number in the online program.
  • Poster Removal: Remove your poster after the final coffee break of the day
